Natasha & Tatiana Wooding-Sansberro

Identical twins Natasha and Tatiana Wooding-Sansberro will likely choose different careers in nursing, but for now the sisters are navigating their academic studies together, late night study sessions and clinicals included.

The Freshmen Direct Admit (FDA) students at the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing are expected to graduate in spring 2027. 无码视频 Atlantic University was an easy choice for the sisters, whose family is originally from Jamaica and Uruguay and resides in Hollywood.

They chose the FDA program because of the opportunity it gives high school graduates to jump-start their nursing careers.

鈥淲e liked that we could just go straight into the nursing program and straight into helping people after graduation,鈥 the twins shared.

The sisters said the inspiration to pursue a career in nursing came from their mother, an anesthesiologist at Memorial West in Pembroke Pines.

鈥淲e used to go to Take Your Child to Work Day with our mom,鈥 said Natasha. 鈥淲e got to see a lot of things firsthand: exactly what the nurses did every day and how the care teams worked together. I remember being so fascinated by that.鈥

Natasha and Tatiana were also influenced by seeing the nurses care for their grandmother while she was in the rehab center.

鈥淲hat ultimately got us into nursing, is that we both love to care for people,鈥 said Tatiana. 鈥淚 love taking care of others and advocating for them in their most vulnerable times.鈥

After graduation, the twins hope to get a chance to work in different high-intensity settings. Natasha wants to be a nurse at a trauma step-down or cardiac floor where she can get hands-on experience.

鈥淓ventually, I鈥檇 like to go into ICU, or something specialized like a cardiovascular care unit,鈥 she said. 鈥淚鈥檝e shadowed a few CRNAs and really liked what they did, so I might pursue the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist program in the future.鈥

Tatiana hopes to start working in a medical-surgical unit when she graduates and gain experience in an ICU environment before considering the nurse practitioner degree.

The sisters joined all three of the college鈥檚 student organizations: Student Nurses Association, Student Council, and Nurses Christian Fellowship, to connect with their peers and volunteer with faculty in the community.

They joined the Light the Night Blood Cancer Walk in West Palm, Keep Memories Alive Walk, and led campus tours for prospective students. Natasha also volunteers at Boca Helping Hands, a local nonprofit.

鈥淰olunteering is important for us because nursing isn鈥檛 just about the hospitals鈥攊t鈥檚 about helping everyone in the community,鈥 Tatiana said. 鈥淵ou have to apply your caring traits to everything in your life.鈥

The sisters shared that they enjoy the 鈥渆xtra layer of caring鈥 that the college鈥檚 Bachelor of Science in Nursing program offers.

鈥淚 have friends at other nursing schools, and they don鈥檛 emphasize caring science like we do,鈥 said Natasha. 鈥淎ctively applying the caring theory in our coursework helps us develop into better nurses.鈥
