Biography
I am an M.A. student in the FAU Sociology Department. My research interests focus on gender, labor, migration, and social inequality, particularly how socioeconomic structures shape women鈥檚 work and everyday lives. My thesis examines the intersection of workplace experiences and family responsibilities among female garment workers in Bangladesh. My previous research has also explored the experiences of Bangladeshi female migrant domestic workers in the Middle East. Before beginning my graduate studies in sociology, I worked as a Credit Officer with BRAC Microfinance, an experience that further developed my interest in socioeconomic inequality and the everyday economic realities of individuals and families. After completing my M.A., I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Sociology and continue research on gender, labor, migration, and social inequality.
Outside of sociology, I enjoy cycling and exploring new places.
