Biography

I am a first-year M.A. student in the FAU Sociology Department. Previously, I also got my B.A. in Sociology at FAU. I have a strong love for Sociology and any kind of sociological discussion. I especially love engaging in thought experiments. I'll often pause when reading a book, playing a game, or watching TV to consider the different sociological implications of what I’m seeing and hearing as well as regularly reflecting on different things that come up throughout my day. As a former physics major, my understanding of sociology tends to be more mathematically oriented. However, I understand it less in terms of actual calculated numbers and more in terms of looking at a bigger picture made out of many smaller pictures, where each person’s life works similarly to scales and variables that can be tracked or estimated to an extent. Then many groups of such people moving similarly make up the whole of our society, complete with various outliers (though in reality it’s a lot more complicated than that).
