Bio

Kimberley Bianca is a media artist and educator from Australia. Her work explores how immersive and interactive media can transform complex systems into experiences that people can see, hear, feel, and move through. Working across environmental data, generative graphics, biological signals, and interactive systems, she develops projects exploring feedback, attention, and the relationships between bodies, media, and ecological change.

Bianca holds a PhD in Emergent Technologies and Media Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder and an MPhil in Curating Electronic Art from the University of New South Wales. Before academia, she worked as a VJ, video editor, and AV technician, experiences that continue to inform her approach to real-time and interactive production. Alongside her academic practice, she maintains an ongoing performance project, Disaster Girl, which explores crisis, irony, and resilience through cybernetics and musical collaborations.

Her creative work has been presented internationally. Through collaborations with grassroots initiatives across Australia, Europe, and the United States, she has developed interactive video projections, workshops, and community-based projects. She is particularly interested in DIY and modular approaches that enable communities to adapt, repurpose, and build shared tools.
